چکیده
A new species of Hanshumba Young, 1977 is described and illustrated from the Mantiqueira mountain range (southeastern Brazil), municipalities Wenceslau Braz (state Minas Gerais) São Bento do Sapucaí Paulo). The taxon associated with olive orchards considered a potential vector bacterium Xylella fastidiosa. This causes serious disease known in Brazil as leaf desiccation syndrome. mariae sp. nov. can be distinguished other five genus by following combination features: (1) apical third ventral margin male pygofer small inner process bearing setae; (2) abdominal segment X (anal tube) without processes; (3) style apex narrow, obtuse, not foot-shaped; (4) aedeagus distinct dorsal lobe along basal two-thirds portion expanded, projection; (5) paraphyses distal pair rami forceps-like, their halves divergent each other, approximately parallel, apices acute; (6) female sternite VII posterior shallowly emarginate, slight median lobe; (7) valvula II ovipositor 15 low teeth. Both males females are detail. key to six provided.

متن کاملA remarkable new species of the sharpshooter genus Egidemia (Insecta, Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Cicadellinae)
A new species of Egidemia China, 1927, Egidemia impudica, is described and illustrated from the Department of Magdalena (Colombia). The male genitalia of the new species have a very peculiar, diagnostic feature: the pygofer is considerably reduced and truncate posteriorly, so that part of the aedeagus is exposed. A key to males of all known Egidemia species is provided. Notes comparing Egidemia...
متن کاملA new species and key to species of the agriculturally important sharpshooter genus Sonesimia Young (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Cicadellini).
The new sharpshooter species Sonesimia nessimiani is described from Bolivia based on specimens collected on sugar cane. An identification key to males and females of all known species of the genus is given. In addition to the external morphology, color pattern, and male genitalia, female genital structures are also described and illustrated. Notes comparing the new species with the remaining si...

Three new sharpshooter species of the genus Fonsecaiulus Young, 1977 are described and illustrated from specimens collected in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, Fonsecaiulus rectangularis and Fonsecaiulus guttiformis, and in the Brazilian Cerrado, Fonsecaiulus filiformis. The descriptions are based on features from the external morphology, color pattern, and male and female genital structures. Com...
متن کاملPhylogenetic analysis of the sharpshooter genus Subrasaca Young, 1977 (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Cicadellini)
The South American sharpshooter genus Subrasaca comprises 14 species. Some species of this genus are quite common in the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest. In this paper, a phylogenetic analysis of Subrasaca, based on a matrix of 20 terminal taxa and 72 morphological characters of the head, thorax, and male and female genitalia, is presented. The analysis yielded six equally most parsimonious trees...
